After watching the Give Your Gift video, complete the following exercises at your own pace. The course is designed to culminate in doing a fun service project of your own choosing, as the capstone experience—and in that way, Giving Your Gift.
Exercise 1: Recall 3-5 pivotal moments of your life. Then, practice telling your life story—the most empowering version you can. It’s helpful to talk aloud if you can, ideally by sharing with a friend, but you can also simply record yourself talking aloud, or even journal about it if writing feels easier.
Exercise 2: How do you currently understand your vow? How would you currently articulate it? Practice telling a friend, or talking to yourself aloud about what your vow is.
Exercise 1: Do the Values Exercise, using the Values app.
Exercise 2: Think about a past decision through the lens of your values. How much of your values were lived out through that decision?
Exercise 1: Reflection
Consider your past experience of different projects you’ve done, and situations you’ve been in.
What could you imagine doing that evokes all of these? What would you need to pull it off and for it to feel feasible?
Exercise 2: Generate Fun Service Project Ideas

Using the Ideal Service Project diagram, generate project ideas with each of its main qualities.
Generate FEASIBLE projects that you know you can do, based on what you’ve done before
– “I know how to …” OR "A project I know I could pull off, because I’ve done something similar before, is..."
Generate projects that sound FUN
– “Wouldn’t it be fun if …” OR "Something I’ve always wanted to do just because it sounds fun is..."
Generate projects that would be helpful, BENEFICIAL
– “I think the world needs …” OR "If I were focused on being of service, I might start..." OR “People keep asking me to…”
